The natural location of the Gorbeialdea consists of the districts of Arratia-Nervión, in Bizkaia province, and Estribaciones de Gorbeia, in Álava. This is considered to be one of the most beautiful areas in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country in view of its incalculable value with regard to scenery, culture and nature.

With a surface area of 20,016 hectares, the Gorbeia Mountain is the Basque Country’s largest Nature Park. Its altitude provides a mountain climate, with frequent snowfalls during the winter months.
